CONROE, TX -- Summer BBQs, fireworks, and a few cold brews. What better way to celebrate the red, white and blue this Fourth of July! But before you raise a glass to our great country, let’s all do our part to keep our community safe and commit to celebrating responsibly.

If you plan to have a cold beer or two this Independence Day, make it a priority to Drink Wiser by following these tips:

1. Have a game plan: designate a driver, download a rideshare app like Lyft, and/or stash some cash in your pocket to cover cab fare.
2. Know your limits: Not all drinks are created equal. The amount of alcohol in a drink may vary depending on the size and recipe. Know your limits and keep track of how many drinks you have consumed.
3. Bring on the food: Bust out high protein foods -like some American classics: BBQ, wings, hot dogs and hamburgers- to help slow down the absorption of alcohol consumed.
4. Keep hydrated: Drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Pace yourself and encourage friends to do the same by alternating alcohol-based drinks with non-alcohol based beverages.

Over the past 35 years, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have invested more than $1 billion on national advertising campaigns and community-based programs to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving.

This Independence Day Silver Eagle Distributors, your local Anheuser-Busch distributor, is building on this commitment to safety by reminding everyone in the Houston community to enjoy responsibly while celebrating!

From everyone at Silver Eagle Distributors, we wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July. Cheers to the land of the free and home of the brave!
