Marijuana seized in 'grow-up' house valued at $750,000
The Montgomery County Sheriff Office Special Investigations Unit and the Precinct 2 Constables Office responded to a call March 4, concerning the possibility of a an indoor ‘Marijuana grow’ in the 100 block of Fish Creek Thoroughfare.
On arrival they met with homeowner and smelled a strong odor of Marijuana from inside the home. A search of the house yielded approximately 170 marijuana plants, found in several rooms inside the house.
The marijuana was recovered and the equipment was dismantled and collected. The estimated value of the marijuana is $750,000. The Deputies discovered that the electric meter was bypassed to operate the lights.
The homeowner, 55-yr old Hein Van Tran, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and those charges could be upgraded.
