District 1 - Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
Wanted Man Arrested
On May 7, Dep. Salazar was attempting to serve a felony warrant at the 10000 block of Clark Road, in Conroe. Upon arrival, Dep. Salazar was met at the door by a 26-year-old woman who advised that a 30-year-old wanted man was not on location. The woman was warned that if she failed to cooperate, she may be in violation herself. The woman stated a second time that the suspect was not on location. Deputies did locate the suspect hiding in the bedroom. He was arrested for the felony warrant amd the woman was also arrested for Hindering Apprehension; a third degree felony.
Two Hostages Assaulted
On May 7, Dep. K. Wroten was dispatched to the 3,000 block of N. Green Circle, in reference to a kidnapping. Early reports indicated that four people came into the house, beat up two men, and took a man and woman hostage because they owed them money. The four suspects were located a short time later and the female hostage was released. The male hostage was hospitalized due to injuries he had sustained during the ordeal. Arrested were a 23-year-old man, 27-year-old man, 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man.
Man Arrested for Assault and Retaliation
On May 8, Dep. Kader was dispatched to the 1,400 block of FM 1485, in Conroe, in reference to an Assault Past. A man, 33, and a woman, 35, reported that they had been assaulted by a 44-year-old man, who was gone upon Dep. Kader's arrival. Both complainants exhibited injuries to their faces. Black eyes and facial lacerations were clearly visible. Dep. Kader took the report and left the location only to learn that the suspect had apparently found out the two complainants had filed a report. This apparently aggravated the suspect who then telephoned the complainants back and threatened to come back and kill both of them. Deputies located the suspect at the downtown Conroe Motel, where he was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Felony and Retaliation/Felony.
DWI Arrest
On May 9, at 10:10 p.m., Dep. Salazar was dispatched to assist an off duty officer with a possible DWI driver at I-45 and Calvary. The suspect was seen driving erratically, swerving from lane to lane and slamming on his brakes to avoid other traffic. The suspect was stopped and several roadside sobriety tests were conducted. All tests yielded indication of intoxication results. This individual was transported to the central jail and given a breath test, which he also failed. The 33-year-old man was charged with DWI - Misdemeanor Class "B".
Wanted Man Arrested for Burglary
On May 10, Dep. Kader was dispatched to the 500 block of River Plantation Drive, in Conroe, in reference to a Family Violence in progress. Upon arrival, Dep. Kader located the suspect, a 49-year-old man, standing in the front yard. He had blood covering his shirt, pants, and hands and told the Dep. Kader, "I'm the guy you're looking for." The investigation revealed that the suspect had apparently forced his way into the residence and assaulted the homeowner. Relatives of the suspect were in the residence at the time. The suspect then reportedly broke windows of the residence and vehicles parked in the driveway. The relatives of this suspect were all in fear for their safety, because they knew the violent nature of the man since he had been a former boxer. This individual was arrested without further incident, transported to central jail and charged with (1) Burglary of a Habitation and (2) Theft by Check (Active Warrant).
District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
Fugitive Arrested at Apartment
On May 4, at 6:10 p.m., Dep. K. D. Bishop and Cpl. J. Russell were dispatched to the 10600 block of Six Pines in reference to a wanted fugitive. Sgt. B. Fitzgerald met the deputies at the location and they proceeded to the apartment. Several men were in the apartment and all were identified. The key holder at the residence advised that the wanted subject had gone to walk the dog. A dog was observed in the apartment with a leash. Once again the man denied knowing the whereabouts of the wanted subject. While searching the apartment, the fugitive, 42, was found and apprehended on three felonies, Indecency with a child, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child and Failure to Appear. The male key holder, 41, of the apartment was arrested for Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive, class A misdemeanor.
Man Arrested for Sparkler Device
Deputy G. Fruge and Sgt. S. Altemus were dispatched to the 16900 block of Larkspur in reference to a Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. The complainant advised that he had heard a loud explosion and observed a neighbor jumping around in the street proclaiming "Done it and I can make another one". Several statements were taken from the witnesses and all advised the subject had made a device out of sparklers and then detonated it in the street. A man, 18, was arrested for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Man Arrested for Crack Pipe and Cocaine Possession
On May 7, at 1:01 a.m., Cpl. J. P. Gonzales and several other deputies were dispatched to a Burglary in Progress in the 25600 I-45 N. Contact was made with a man exiting the apartment in question, who advised that the apartment was his until it burned last month. The subject was observed to have red blood shot eyes, slurred speech and unsteady balance. He smelled strongly of alcohol while speaking and admitted to having a crack pipe in his pocket, a search yielded the pipe. The suspect, 36, was arrested and a further search yielded a cocaine rock. He was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, SJF.
DWI Arrest
Sgt, J. Jenkins observed on May 8, at 11:28 p.m., a vehicle leaving the area of Alden Woods at Gosling. The vehicle had a rear defective brake light. He followed the vehicle and observed it traveling across lanes of traffic. He initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the male driver, 27. The driver could not produce a Driver's License or insurance on the vehicle. An open 12-pack of beer was sitting in the front passenger seat and two open containers were sitting in the front console. Trooper I. Valdez, Texas DPS, came to the scene and conducted field sobriety tests, because the suspect spoke little English. The man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
DWI Arrest
On May 11, at 12:59 a.m., Sgt. J. Jenkins observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and not stopping at a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated and the male driver, 64, was interviewed and he admitted to having a beer. Field sobriety tests were administered and the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
District 3 - Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
Teen Arrested for Assaulting Father
On May 5, Deputy J. Walker was dispatched to a family violence assault in the 19200 block of Amy Lane. Dep. Walker met with the female complainant and her husband, who stated that their daughter was upset and they had gotten into an argument. The daughter was intoxicated and struck the father on the lip with a shoe. The 17-year-old girl from Porter was arrested at 12:30 a.m. and transported to jail.
Step-son Assaults Step-Father
On May 5, Deputy J. Walker was sent to the 19900 block of Timberline in reference to a family violence assault. Dep. Walker met with a male complainant who said he and his step-son had gotten into a fight. The step-son had pushed a door in striking the complainant on the nose and they began fighting on the floor. The 25-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 10:45 p.m. and transported to jail.
Man Arrested for Drug Possession
On May 7, Deputy C. Evans was notified of a disturbance in progress in the 19800 block of Turner Road. Dep. Evans arrived and located four people standing in the middle of the road. As Dep. Evans approached, one of the male subjects walked away and attempted to conceal a white shirt he had been holding behind a vehicle. Dep. Evans located the shirt and discovered a small amount of marijuana and a hydrocodone pill in the shirt. The 21-year-old man from Dallas was arrested at 1:27 a.m. and transported to jail.
Wanted Man Arrested
On May 7, Deputy P. Rex was sent to the 24100 block of Spears Circle in reference to a possible robbery past. Dep. Rex observed an intoxicated man sitting alongside the road. There had been no robbery. The suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Arlington for DWI 3rd or more. The 27-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 2:20 a.m. and transported to jail.
Husband Arrested for Threatening Wife and Parents
On May 7, Deputy J. Bruce was dispatched to a family violence assault by threat call in the 26500 block of 3rd Terrace. Dep. Bruce arrived and located the male suspect. The female complainant advised that her husband had been arrested several times in the past month for assault family violence and traffic warrants. He had been coming over to the property and threatening her and her parents for several days. The 47-year-old man from Splendora was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and transported to jail.
Intoxicated Man Arrested
On May 8, Deputy A. White responded to a welfare concern in the area of East Martin Drive and Cunningham Drive. Dep. White located a highly intoxicated man stumbling down the road. The man had fallen in the roadway several times according to witnesses. The 46-year-old man from Porter was arrested at 6:34 p.m. and taken to jail.
Four Arrested for Drug Possession
On May 10, Deputies S. Ortiz and R. Layman were assisting Deputy J. Amstutz on a traffic stop in the area of Sorters Road and Ravenpark Drive. There were two men and two women in the vehicle. During the investigation several soma and xanax pills were found in the vehicle. Two women, 17 and 22, both from Porter, a 21-year-old man from Porter and a 21-year-old man from New Caney were arrested at 2:10 p.m. and transported to jail. The 22-year-old woman was also charged with taking a prohibited substance into a correctional facility.
Daughter Assaults Mother
On May 10, Deputy C. Turrentine was sent to a location on Penny for an family violence assault call. Upoon arrival, Dep. Turrentine met with the female complainant who advised that she and her daughter had been in an argument and the daughter struck her on the face. The daughter, 17, from Cleveland was arrested at 3:13 p.m. and transported to jail.
Man Assaults Woman
On May 10, Deputy G. Harman was notified of an assault call in the 25000 block of Needham Drive. Dep. Harman met with the female complainant who advised that she and another woman were having an argument when the other woman's boyfriend intervened and pushed the complainant down on the ground breaking her arm. The 27-year-old man from Porter was arrested at 6:00 p.m. and transported to jail.
Woman Attacks Roommate
On May 11, Dep. K. Koonce responded to a family violence assault call in the 17200 block of Louis Lane. Dep. Koonce met with a female complainant who had been assaulted by her female roommate. The complainant stated that she had come home from a concert and her roommate became upset with her. The suspect pushed the complainant to the ground and began striking her on the face with a closed fist several times. The complainant's eyes were red and swollen and she had red marks on her arms. The female suspect, 40, was arrested at 3:00 a.m. and transported to jail.
Teen Arrested for Criminal Mischief
On May 11, Dep. C. Azwell was dispatched to the 20900 block of Alexander Lane in reference to a criminal mischief call. Upon arrival, Dep. Azwell met with the complainant who stated that a male suspect had used a chain and damaged his vehicles in the amount of approximately $8,000. The suspect then left and crashed his own vehicle in a ditch across from the complainant's residence. The suspect stated that he was mad at the complainant's son over an incident involving a girlfriend several months ago and came to get even. The man, 18, from Porter was arrested at 7:11 a.m. and transported to jail.
Man Assaults Girlfriend
On May 11, Deputy G. Harman was sent to the 17900 block of Crystalwood Court in reference to an family violence assault call. Dep. Harman met with a female complainant who stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The suspect had pushed her to the ground and kicked her twice. The 19-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 5:40 p.m. and transported to jail.
Teen Assaults Man with Hammer
On May 11, Dep. J. Bruce was notified of an assault call in the 19100 block of Forest Lane. Dep. Bruce met with the male complainant and female witness. The complainant met with the suspect male who was there to see the complainant's daughter. The complainant refused to allow the meeting and the suspect knocked a beer out of the complainant's hand. The complainant went inside the house and the suspect forced his way inside. The suspect struck the complainant with the handle of a hammer, knocking him out. The female witness observed the events. The suspect left the location and was located a short time later by another deputy. The 17-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 7:50 p.m. and charged with burglary of a habitation.
Warrants served:
A 28-year-old man from Splendora was arrested at 2:45 a.m. on May 5, by Dep. K. Koonce, after being notified that Cleveland PD had the man in custody on a DWI warrant out of Montgomery County.
A 23-year-old man from Porter was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on May 6, in the 200 block of North Park Drive, by Dep. C. Evans after being contacted by Houston PD that the male was in their custody for a DWI warrant out of Montgomery County.
A 40-year-old man from Missouri City was arrested at 4:45 p.m. on May 6, in the 20100 block of Hwy 59, by Dep. G. Harman for a parole blue warrant out of Harris County. Dep. Harman located the man walking on Hwy 59 and he matched the description of a male in a trespassing call that he was in route to.
A 28 year old male from Humble was arrested at 5:10am, May 8, by Deputy P. Rex after it was learned Humble P. D. had the male in custody for two motion to revoke probation DWI warrants out of Montgomery County.
A 29-year-old man from Porter was arrested in the area of Sorters Road and Summer Hills, by Dep. J. Varnell for a DWI warrant, a DWLI warrant and a possession of marijuana warrant, all out of Montgomery County. The male also had three outstanding traffic warrants out of Patton Village. Dep. Varnell was assisting another deputy who was investigating suspicious activity in the area and had detained the male.
District 4 - Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
A/C Unit Stolen from Home for Sale
On May 6, Dep. E. Diaz was dispatched to Glenmont Blvd. in Hockley, in reference to a theft. When Dep. Diaz arrived he met with the complainant who stated that someone had stolen the A/C unit from the home, which was for sale. The theft was discovered by the realtor. The A/C unit was 2-years-old and valued at approximately $1,800. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Copper Wire Theft
On May 7, Dep. D. LaSalle and Dep. G. Kerr were dispatched to Lindsey Dr. in Montgomery, regarding a theft of copper wiring. When they arrived on the scene, the deputies met with the complainant who provided information for the report. The copper theft occurred at a home under construction. The value of the copper wiring cut and stolen from the home is approximately $10,000. It consisted of 50 cables at 150 feet each of copper electrical wiring. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Mustang Spray Painted
On May 9, Dep. E. Hollan was dispatched to Will Scarlet in Montgomery, in reference to a criminal mischief call. Upon arrival, Dep. Hollan met with a complainant who provided information that a 2003 Ford Mustang had been paint damaged with yellow spray paint. The amount of the paint damage was estimated at $400. This case was closed due to lack of a suspect.
Copper Wire Theft
On May 9, Dep. D. LaSalle and Dep. G. Kerr were dispatched to FM 1774 in Magnolia, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputies met with the complainant who stated that 800 feet of #6 copper wire (valued at $1,500) had been stolen from his business property. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Woman Finds Pawn Tickets in Her Home
On May 9, Deputy G. Kerr was dispatched to Teneya Canyon for a theft report. Upon arrival, Dep. Kerr met with the complainant who stated that approximately $3,800 worth of her property had been stolen. This was discovered by the complainant when she found 5 pawn tickets in a bedroom in her own home. The case has been referred to the detectives division.
Home and Auto Burglary
On May 9, Sgt. J. Moya was dispatched to Meadow Edge in Magnolia, in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, Sgt. Moya met with the complainant, who is the owner of the home that was burglarized and the car that was vandalized. The complainant provided all information for the report including a list of items stolen and the amount of damage to the vehicle, estimated at $3,280. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Tail Light Smashed
On May 10, Deputy T. Slusher was dispatched to Ashbrook in Magnolia, in reference to a criminal mischief call. When Dep. Slusher arrived, he met with the complainant and a witness who provided information for the report. The tail light (valued at $200) on the complainant's car had been smashed deliberately by a named suspect. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
A/C Unit Theft
On May 11, Dep. A. Sumrall was dispatched to Saxons Way in reference to a theft call. Upon arrival, Dep. Sumrall met with the complainant who advised that when he returned home that day he found that his outside A/C unit had been stolen. The A/C unit cost $2,000 to replace. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
A/C Unit Stolen
On May 12, Dep. K. Krolczyk was dispatched to Brushy Woods in Hockley, in reference to a theft call. Upon arrival, Dep. Krolcyzk met with the complainant who stated her outside A/C unit had been stolen. The copper tubing leading to the a/c unit had been cut and the wiring to the electrical outlet was missing as well. It will cost approximately $4,500 to replace the A/C unit. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
District 5 - Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
Deadbeat Contractors
On May 5, at 5:45 p.m., Dep. J. Farmer responded to a Theft call in the 1700 block of East Pine Lake Circle. The complainant said that she had hired two different companies to do some remodeling on her home. The two men (suspects) said that their companies work together. The complainant gave them $3,700 as the first payment. The suspects started working on the home. About two days later she paid the suspects $1,800. She purchased all materials for the job. Two weeks passed and the suspects never came back to finish the work. The complainant contacted one of the suspects and he told her he would never finish her job. The complainant filed charges on the suspects. This case has been referred to the detective division.
Auto Burglary
On May 5, at 1:10 p.m. Deputy R. Thompson responded to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle call in the 100 block of Lake Estates Drive. The complainant said that she parked her vehicle in the driveway of her home at 11:00 p.m. the night before. The vehicle was left unlocked and when she returned to her vehicle the next morning found that unknown suspect(s) stole a digital camera and a debit card. The total loss was $502. This case has been referred to the detective division.
Speed Zone Signs Stolen
On May 2, at 4:59 a.m., Dep. H. Lowe responded to a Criminal Mischief and Theft call in the 11300 block of Grand Harbor Blvd. The complainant said that several suspects had stolen four (4) speed zone signs. In the process of stealing the property, they damaged the poles that held the signs. The complainant and the POA of the sub-division filed charges. Three of the suspects have been identified and the case has been referred to the detective division.
Truck Tires Punctured
May 11, at 2:10 p.m., Dep. C. Favorat responded to a Criminal Mischief call in the 800 block of Beach Walk Blvd. The complainant said that after putting his boat in the water he parked his truck in the parking area at 9:00 p.m. He returned to his truck at 2:00 a.m. and found all four tires had been punctured and where flat. No one witnessed the incident. Dep. Favorat found a screw driver in the back of the truck. The complainant said that it did not belong to him. The screw driver and another piece of evidence were collected and placed in the Montgomery County Crime Lab. This case has been referred to the detective division.
Motorcycle Stolen
On May 10, at 6:20 p.m., Dep. W. Shotwell responded to a Theft call in the 14600 block of Hwy. 105 West. The complainant said that he parked his 2004 Harley in front of the business and went in for something to eat. He returned thirty minutes later and his motorcycle had been stolen. A witness saw a thin built white male, about 40-years-old, get on the motorcycle and leave. The complainant had his keys in his pocket during the theft. The owner of the business has a video recording and the incident may have been recorded. This case has been referred to the Auto Theft Division for follow up.
Lap Top Stolen
On May 9, at 3:56 p.m., Dep. M. Jackson responded to a Theft call in the 13700 block of Hwy. 105 West. The complainant said that she had to run some errands and she left her lap top computer on the front desk. One of her employees was left at the business. She returned two hours later and her computer was missing. The employee said he did not see anyone enter the business. The cost of the computer was $2,000.
District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
Assault Arrest
On May 9, at 10:53 p.m., Deputy S. Spencer was dispatched to 1550 Lake Robbins in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Dep. Spencer met with two witnesses who advised that the assault had occurred and the victim was taken to the emergency room. The victim was in and out of consciousness at the hospital and had several bloody contusions on his head and back. A total of five witnesses gave statements and the suspect, 19, was located at his residence and arrested for Assault.
Theft Arrests
During the week of May 6 - May 13, fifteen arrests were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive for misdemeanor thefts.
