Role: Accounting Assistant
Full-time

SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the accounting manager, performs a variety of administrative duties relating to accounting functions and programs. Assist the accounting department with data entry, reports and processes related to accounting functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Upload documents into rForce system including but not limited to installer paperwork, service invoices for painting, brickwork, and engineering services.
• Process job payments received from the Installers or Design Specialists. Enters the payments into rForce and QuickBooks. Then remove from the Receivables spreadsheet.
• Produce job cost reports to calculate sales commission and update back end database for payroll processing.
• Enter RbA invoices into QuickBooks.
• Research and maintain incomplete install jobs (Blue Book) and follow-up until items are resolved.
• Assist other departments when the required data is missing and follow-up until item is resolved.
• File Accounts Payable checks and Lead Safe Documentation from Installers. Maintains accurate and up-to-date files.
• Assist with receiving guests at 2920 office, reports for customer appreciation, and other projects as need by management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in the Accounting field required.
• At least two (2) years of computer experience (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online at the Intermediate level is a must.
• Position requires comprehensive criminal background and credit check.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group setting.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Qualifications
Highly competent in all areas of Accounting in an office environment including the ability to organize, manage, coordinate by handling multiple projects simultaneously, and implement practical solutions. Excellent 10-key skills, advanced written and oral communication skills. Ability to calculate and figure amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, common to those of an office setting.
