J.M. Maly, Inc. has been providing building specialty services as a subcontractor on commercial construction projects in the Houston area for over 39 years. We are currently seeking a Construction Helper whose primary responsibility is to support the job field supervisor in the successful completion of projects within the safety, quality, scheduling and financial parameters set by the company.

• Clean and prepare construction site
• Load, unload, unpack and identify building materials and tools
• Distribute materials and tools to appropriate location on jobsite
• Measure and mark material for installation and area where construction work will be performed
• Install material under direction using small hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Follow company and industry safety rules, practices and procedures
• Take direction from job supervisor

Quick learner: capable of adapting quickly and learning in a training environment
• Team oriented: works well in a team with ability to take direction
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules, installation procedures and jobsite regulations
• Must have own transportation
• Strong work ethic: willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime when required
• Physically able to stand, walk, climb, balance, lift, bend and move materials and equipment up to 80 pounds
• Construction experience helpful
