Conroe Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on North Loop 336 East
CONROE, TX -- On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at approximately 6:37 p.m., Conroe Police Traffic and Motor Units responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries in the 2900 block of North Loop 336 East.
Upon arrival, officers found that life-saving measures were already being performed by Conroe ISD Police and Conroe Police personnel. Conroe Fire Department and EMS quickly arrived on scene and assumed care; however, despite their efforts, the motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Conroe Police Department’s Fatality Crash Reconstruction Team, in coordination with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, initiated a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that a marked Conroe Independent School District Police vehicle was traveling northbound in the middle lane, preparing to turn west into the CISD Police Station parking lot. The motorcycle, observed by witnesses to be overtaking vehicles, was traveling southbound in the same area. According to witness statements, video evidence, and preliminary scene analysis, the CISD patrol unit began its westbound turn when the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the police vehicle, ejecting the rider.
The CISD officer immediately began life-saving efforts until relieved by other first responders. The officer was later transported to a local hospital, treated, and released.
The motorcycle operator was identified as 24-year-old Patrick Freeland. Notification of next of kin has been made by Conroe Police supervisors.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is available at this time.
The Conroe Police Department and Chief Buckholtz extend their sincere condolences and prayers to all those affected by this tragic incident.
