Area Wide Art Show and Exhibit Coming to Conroe and the Conroe Art League

CONROE, TX - - The 2019 Lone Star Art Guild (LSAG) 67th Annual Show, Exhibit and Convention will be held at the Conroe Lone Star Convention Center May 31- June 1. Over 1,000 award winning pieces of art will be on on display from 15 Houston area art leagues. This once a year show is hosted by the Conroe Art League (CAL), Brenham Fine Arts League, Houston Art Society and the Art League of Baytown. The public is invited to attend this free event on Saturday June 1 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Lone Star Art Guild is a non-profit organization that began in Brenham, TX, in April, 1961. It serves as an umbrella organization for fifteen art leagues located throughout Central Texas. League members who compete and place in LSAG sanctioned shows throughout the year qualify to compete in the Guild's Annual Convention Show & Exhibit. Artist of all ages and art medium's in multiple categories qualify to compete. Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the Best of Show, Adult; Best of Show, Student; and Best of Show, Floral (the Dorothy Hargrave Memorial Award). A 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place & Honorable Mention ribbon will be awarded to winners in each division/category. 

Conroe Art League is a nonprofit organization of vibrant artists and art lovers. Just seven local artists started the Art League in 1963. Today membership has reached over 300. Art education is a top priority for CAL and on-going classes are held in the gallery in many mediums. The mission of the League is to encourage artistic development and cultivate an appreciation for the visual arts through education, exhibitions, and community outreach.
