Conroe Art League Fall Show and Sale exhibit Oct 16

CONROE, Texas - The Conroe Art League's Fall Show and Sale drew a big response by both artists and art patrons as the "Best of the Best" artwork went on display at First Baptist Church in Conroe Saturday.

Over five dozen beautiful works of art in all mediums, were judged and awarded both ribbons, and some cash prizes. Unfortunately the art was only on display for a couple of hours, but the winners of the CAL fall show will hang in the Conroe Art League Gallery located in the Madeley Building at 127 Simonton Street, for the month of October.

"It took me approximately two hundred hours to do this piece," said Lane. "I'd like to be able to do art full time," he added.

A reception will be hosted by the Conroe Art League Friday, October 16, 5:00 p.m., featuring not only the artists and their ribbon-winning pieces of art, but refreshments too. The public is cordially invited to drop by, meet the artists, and view their winning art.
