The Superintendent will be assigned commercial construction projects where they will be responsible for overseeing and directing trade partners in the planning, scheduling, and effective execution of their scope of work to provide a finished building product that meets or exceeds client’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Superintendent shall be responsible for inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule. Reach out to vendors every other day until you have received a firm response and one that meets your schedule requirements. If you are unable to get an answer, contact Lorin.
• Able to work, run and haul equipment needed to perform the scope of work
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work. Build relationships with contractors by assisting them in their work.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and convey to Project Manager so notices can be issued for non-compliance to subcontracts regarding quality of work or scheduling.
• Maintain daily log of activities on the job site via Procore. Include percentages of the subcontractor work performed for the day.
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
• Preside over weekly huddle subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work. Set up a specific time and day each week for all to attend.
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner daily. If the subcontractor does not clean up after themselves, it will be your responsibility to do it for them. Take pride in your job as if it was your own.
• Track the inventory of supplies and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule.
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
• Opening the job site at the beginning of the day (6:45 a.m. at the latest) and securing the job site at the end of the day.
• Provide directions to and resolve problems among subcontractors and vendors.
• Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
• Manage the overall project and 3 week look ahead schedules, including creating the master schedule and updating it on a weekly basis. Provide the team as well as the customer with a schedule every Friday.
• Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions ; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Job trailer is only meant to be used for storing, lunch break, updating daily logs or communicating with vendors or contractors. You should be directly on the job site with the subcontractors 90% of your day.
• Perform hands on duties when work is to be completed by BTS and not a subcontractor.


• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction required
• Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office (Excel, word, project & Outlook)
• Abe to proficiently use an iPad
• Able to effectively read blueprints and perform building layouts
• Can communicate effectively via phone, email, text.
• Possesses good Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.

• Hands on construction experience.
