MCTXSheriff Investigates Theft by Deception at Charleston Lane Wedding Venue

WILLIS, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating multiple cases of Theft by Deception involving an individual who is fraudulently posing as the owner of the Charleston Lane Wedding Venue, located at 7041 Kingston Cove Lane, Willis, TX.

Preliminary investigations confirm that an individual, operating under the alias "Lance Miller," has been in contact with potential clients seeking to reserve the wedding venue. He is soliciting large sums of money via wire transfer, cash, and other payment apps for these ‘bookings’, which are fraudulent, as he is not the owner or operator of the venue.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are working diligently to identify all affected individuals and gather further information regarding this ongoing investigation.
