Conroe Fire Dept. extinguishes house fire on Old Montgomery Road

CONROE, TX -- At 1:37 PM on July 7, 2025, the Conroe Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 11615 Old Montgomery Road. While en route, additional information was relayed to the responding units, indicating that the fire was located in the living room of the residence.
Engine 7 arrived to the scene and observed light smoke coming from the one-story home. The crew entered the house and discovered that the fire was primarily consuming a recliner in the living room. Fortunately, no structural damage was found.
The fire was extinguished quickly, and the structure was subsequently searched and ventilated. Two adults were transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, burns, and other injuries.
The Conroe Fire Department were assisted by units and personnel from Montgomery County Hospital District EMS and North Montgomery County Fire Department. The Conroe Fire Marshal's Office is actively investigating the incident.
