Anticipation Builds for The Rocky Horror Show at The Players Theatre Company

CONROE, TX -- With a jump to the left, then a step to the right, The Players Theatre Company announces its upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show at The Owen Theatre August 8 through 10, 2025. This fundraiser event will also feature a silent auction and participation packages to benefit The Players’ artistic and community initiatives.

The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and Janet, whose evening takes an unexpected turn when a flat tire strands them during a storm. Seeking shelter, they stumble upon the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, an enigmatic and theatrical host. As their journey unfolds, they encounter an eccentric group of residents, including a rebellious biker and a peculiar butler. Through extravagant dance numbers and iconic rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: the strikingly sculpted Rocky.

A hallmark of the cult classic Rocky Horror is the engaged and energetic audiences, and this production will be no exception. Audience members are encouraged to come in costume and participate throughout the show with callbacks, props, and interactive moments.

The Players Board of Directors President Shananda Poulos directs with Travis Cook serving as assistant director. The creative team includes music directors David McKnight and Veronica Amandola alongside choreographers Sunnie Curda and Rya Sweatt.

Leading the cast is Robert Gyomber as Brad and Abigail Barthaur as Janet, with Adam Isbell portraying Frank-N-Furter. Rounding out the principal roles are Ian Montez as Riff Raff, Zoe Bullard as Magenta, Amy Jackson as Columbia, Colton Land as Rocky, TJ Poulos as the Narrator, Carlos Soto as Dr. Scott, and Robben Montez as Eddie. The production also features a talented ensemble cast, bringing the vibrant energy of Rocky Horror to life.

The Rocky Horror Show runs from August 8th through 10th. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00pm and 10:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm at The Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalf in Downtown Conroe. Founded in 1967 as The Little Theatre of Conroe, The Players Theatre Company has been a cornerstone of the Montgomery County arts scene for more than 50 years. From humble beginnings on the Conroe High School stage and a former plumbing supply store, the company helped restore the Crighton Theatre in 1979 and produced shows there for nearly three decades as The Crighton Players. In 2008, in partnership with the City of Conroe, the group became The Players Theatre Company and now calls the intimate and charming Owen Theatre home.
