Connecticut Man Sentenced to 40 Years in Texas for Promotion of Child Pornography Following Montgomery County ICAC Investigation

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- In October 2025, Michael Dean Brandon pleaded guilty to Promotion of Child Pornography and was sentenced to 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. This conviction is the result of a proactive online investigation conducted in 2023 by Sergeant J. Serratt of the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office, who was assigned to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
During the investigation, Brandon was located in Connecticut and extradited to Montgomery County, Texas, to face charges.
