19-Year-Old Killed in Fatal Crash on North Loop 336 East in Conroe; Traffic Reconstruction Investigation Underway

CONROE, TX -- On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at approximately 6:37 p.m., officers with the Conroe Police Department responded to a major crash involving a passenger car and a pick-up truck in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East.

Immediately upon arrival, officers discovered that the passenger inside the car was entrapped and seriously injured. Conroe Fire Department and EMS personnel arrived shortly thereafter and began medical care. Despite their efforts, the passenger did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the crash. Preliminary findings indicate that the passenger car was traveling westbound in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East. The passenger car lost control while attempting to make a lane change. The passenger car began to spin and skidded into the oncoming traffic lanes before being struck by the pick-up truck. Both drivers and the pick-up truck passenger were transported to a local hospital in stablecondition.

The deceased was identified as 19-year-old George Ramirez. Next of kin notification was made to immediate family members at their residence in Cut and Shoot, Texas.

The District Attorney’s Vehicular Crimes Unit was contacted and responded to assist with the investigation. The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details can be released at this time.
