Soccer: Future bright for Conroe boys' program

CONROE, Texas – If records are any indication, the future of the Conroe boys’ soccer program looks bright.

The Tigers’ freshmen soccer team recently completed its season. Conroe earned a 1-0 victory over A&M Consolidated to bring down the curtain on the 2013 season.

It wasn’t any ordinary campaign. The freshman Tigers team recorded a record of 9-0-4. It is the only undefeated season ever accomplished in the history of the Conroe soccer program.

As its record indicated, the team was dominant both offensively and defensively. During the course of its record-breaking season, the Tigers scored a total of 34 goals while giving up just five goals for the entire season.

In its defensive control, the Tigers recorded eight shutouts in 13 matches.
