WILLIS, Texas -- A produce truck overturned on the medium of I-45N at Calvary Road north of Willis, bursting into flames and shutting down all lanes of the freeway early this morning at approximately 4:30 a.m..

One southbound lane opened at 6:00 a.m., to allow morning commuters to get through the accident site; all southbound lanes were open at 6:30 a.m.

According to law enforcement officers, the driver apparently lost control of the truck, hitting a concrete wall, and flipping the truck in the medium. The truck then burst into flames and was consumed by the fire. The truck driver was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for treatment.

All northbound lanes are expected to be closed throughout the morning to clean up the charred debris. Traffic heading north is being diverted to the feeder road. Expect a long delay if heading north.
