Montgomery High School student killed in motorcycle accident

CONROE, Texas – A Montgomery High School student died when he was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with an automobile making a turn on Highway 105 in the vicinity of Freeport Street. The accident occurred west of Conroe.
Trenton Fortune, 17, was riding to meet his girlfriend for breakfast at a nearby McDonald's. His girlfriend knew something was wrong when he didn’t answer his phone, so she tracked the phone to the crash scene.
According to Fortune’s grandmother, he had been riding motorcycles since he was four years old, and was an experienced cyclist, but apparently didn’t have the opportunity to hit the brakes.
The grandparents bought Fortune a new Volkswagen Passat three months ago on the condition that he give up the motorcycle. He had just put his Yamaha up for sale Thursday. The driver of the automobile was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
