Henry's Home, Horse & Human Sanctuary offers unique trail ride experience
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary is offering more than just a horseback trail ride experience. Want to get back in touch with the great outdoors? Are you looking for a way to spend some quality time with a friend or family member? Do you have a passion and love for animals?
The purpose of Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary is to provide a supportive and positive environment that fosters healing for both rescue horses, as well as humans! The name was founded by the beloved Henry, who was their first horse to adopt in the winter of 2011. Henry and his friends welcome you to this laid back, no judgement-type atmosphere to heal your soul and enjoy nature.
Along with Henry, there are many horses that have been saved from different, yet unsettling circumstances. Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary is pleased to have Lexi, Tavi, Jinx, Sunny, Wall-E, and Chandler. Each and every one of these special horses has a unique and personalized care plan to ensure they get the most out of life.
You’re invited to hit the trails with any one of the listed horses who would love to spend an afternoon with you! Help the horses get some exercise at your own pace, with safety always in mind. Guests are encouraged to wear clothes that can get a little dirty, including a t-shirt, long pants with close-toed shoes or boots. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a camera are recommended, but not required. No experience is required. Weekend and weekday trail rides are both available, lasting about two to two and a half hours and an additional 30 minutes to learn how to tack your horse.
Break free from the stress of your daily routine and visit Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary for an unforgettable time that will leave you feeling refreshed! Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that is completely operated and maintained by volunteers. For more information, visit Henry's Home Horse and Human Sanctuary.
