Westbound Bank greets new Conroe neighborhood with charitable donations

HOUSTON, Texas - Westbound Bank, a commercial community bank that broke ground on its new Conroe branch (located at the Northeast Corner of South Loop 336 West and River Pointe Drive) in early July, is eager to begin its community involvement in its new neighborhood.

As part of its efforts to both support neighboring businesses and give back to area residents in need, Westbound Bank has purchased $5,000 in Kroger gas gift cards from the grocery store location adjacent to its new branch and will be donating the cards in $500 and $1,000 increments to various charitable organizations operating within Montgomery County. These cards will be able to be used to purchase gas from Kroger-affiliated stations as well as to purchase groceries and merchandise in the stores.

“Part of our mission as a community bank is to support the businesses and individuals in the areas we serve,” said Troy England, Westbound Bank President. “This extends beyond providing local businesses working capital to grow and involves being active participants in our communities. One gift card may provide months or even a year of gas money for the head of household to drive to and from work or alleviate a family’s anxiety over where their next meal will come from. This gesture is a token of appreciation for welcoming us to the neighborhood, but also a sign of the contributions we want to continue to make to our new Montgomery County home.”

Westbound Bank is currently operating a Loan Production Office (LPO) in Conroe at 945 Sgt. Ed Holcomb Boulevard, from which it will continue to serve customers until the full branch opens later this year.
