Animal Shelter Facing Dire Delimma
The Friends of the Montgomery County Animal Shelter has depleted its available funds dealing with the hurricane situation, and is seeking donations to implement a preventative maintenance program and cover unexpected out-of-pocket expenses incurred as a result of Hurricane Ike.
The Friends of the Montgomery County Animal Shelter and Precinct 3 Commission, Ed Chance, donated generators to operate the water and sewage pumps, but there is a desperate need for full-facility generators to keep the pumps and lights running during power outtages. Many of the rescued animals were sick and had to be treated for pneumonia and giardia, so veterinarian bills need to be covered.
Those intersted in donating can do so by mailing donations to FMCTAS Non-Profit, 330,Rayford Road, P O Box 114, Spring, Texas 77386. Please also visit the Web site at the link below.
