MCTXSheriff Arrests Four for Burglary and Possession of Marijuana in Conroe

CONROE, TX -- On March 5, 2024, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office East Precinct Patrol Division were dispatched to Firetower Baptist Church in reference to a Burglary in Progress. A witness reported individuals actively breaking into the church. Deputies arrived on the scene and located the suspects at a gas station on FM 1485 and Gene Campbell Road. Multiple MCSO units converged on the area and all suspects were detained.

East Precinct Detectives arrived at the location and began their investigation. An initial search of the vehicle revealed stolen items from the church, along with marijuana.

Kentrell Daughtry (18), Damon Craft (19), Darrien Hopkins (19), and Tarrance Griffin (18), all from Houston, were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Craft and Hopkins were both charged with Burglary of a Building and Possession of Marijuana. Daughtry and Griffin were both charged with Possession of Marijuana. Hopkins also had an active felony theft warrant out of Harris County at the time of his arrest.

Their diligent efforts in arresting the individuals responsible for this burglary demonstrate our commitment to keeping our community safe.”
