Armed Domestic Disturbance in Conroe Leads to SWAT Standoff and Officer-Involved Shooting

CONROE, TX -- On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Conroe Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of N. San Jacinto Street in response to an active domestic disturbance involving an armed suspect.
Initial reports indicated that the suspect had seriously assaulted multiple family members and was barricaded inside the residence with weapons. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and safely evacuated the victims.
The suspect refused to comply with verbal commands to surrender, prompting the deployment of the Conroe Police Department SWAT Team. After extended efforts to negotiate a peaceful resolution, SWAT deployed CS gas into the residence. The suspect continued to resist and escalated his behavior.
When officers entered the home, the suspect confronted them while armed. Fearing for their safety, a SWAT officer discharged their duty weapon, striking the suspect once.
Life-saving measures were immediately administered, and the suspect was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. The injured family members have received medical treatment and are now safe.
This incident is currently under active investigation by the Conroe Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. No names are being released at this time pending further investigation.
