City of Conroe Administrative Offices and Facilities to Close Monday Due to Severe Winter Weather
CONROE, TX — Out of an abundance of caution, and in the best interest of both City staff and residents, the City of Conroe will close all administrative offices and City facilities on Monday, January 26th, due to the projected severe winter weather and expected freezing temperatures.
Additionally, all Department of Transportation Services will not be operating on Monday, and all Parks and Recreation facilities and programs will be closed.
The City is also working with Frontier Waste Solutions to confirm operational plans for trash collection on Monday. Once confirmed, the City will inform the community regarding Frontier trash collection services. This information will be communicated on the City of Conroe’s Facebook page as soon as it is received from Frontier.
City leadership continues to closely monitor weather conditions and will provide updates as necessary.
Essential services, including police, fire, and emergency response operations, will remain fully operational and ready to respond as needed. In addition, the City of Conroe Public Works Department will be staffed and prepared to respond to severe road conditions and any water-related issues that may occur during this weather event.
For public safety, residents are strongly encouraged to avoid driving when possible. Limiting travel reduces roadway hazards and enables emergency services to respond to calls quickly and safely during severe winter conditions.
Residents are encouraged to take additional precautions during freezing temperatures and to stay informed by monitoring local weather forecasts and official City of Conroe communication channels.
Additional updates will be shared through the City’s website and social media platforms as conditions warrant.
