Conroe Connection Bus Service starts January 2015

CONROE, Texas -- The City of Conroe has announced that it will be launching the Conroe Connection Bus Service in January 2015. The service will run Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Starting the first week of January, the local bus service will have one hour headways...a bus will arrive at each bus stop hourly. Conroe Connection will run along Frazier from North Loop 336 at Wal-Mart and Lowe’s, to South Loop 336 at Lone Star Family Health and the Conroe Regional Medical Center. It will also loop around the Dugan area. All stops will be identified by bus stop signs. Riders are asked not to flag the driver down at any location other than a bus stop. Other important information:

Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before scheduled bus stop time
To request a stop, pull the cord by the window
Do not talk to the driver when the bus is moving
Do not cross in front of the bus
Children under 6 years must be accompanied by an adult
Only service animals are permitted on board
Front seats are reserved for seniors and people with disabilities
Secure all personal items and remember to take them with you when you exit the bus
No food, drink, or smoking allowed
No music players allowed without use of earphones
No profanity or abusive language
Weapons, explosives, car batteries, flammable liquids and other hazardous materials are not permitted on the bus
Fares to ride the bus are as follows:

Adults $1.00

Seniors 65+ with ID $0.50*

Disabled $0.50*

Students (13-18) School ID or Transit ID $0.50*

Children (6-12) No Transit ID required $0.50*

Children under 6 with Adult - Free

Exact change required

* Passengers receiving half-fares must show the following each time they board the bus: Conroe Connection Transit ID, Student ID, Medicare Card, or Conroe Connection Paratransit ID.

The weekday bus service will not run on city holidays which includes: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Birthday, Day, nor the day before or after Christmas. Holidays falling on a Saturday will be observed the preceding Friday and holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed the following Monday.
