The Players Theatre Company spotlights leadership in 60th season

CONROE, TX – As part of the organization’s landmark 60th season, “Legacy & Revelations,” The Players Theatre Company is recognizing its Board of Directors and staff leadership in upholding the traditions and foundation the organization is built on and setting the course for continued future success.

For nearly six decades, The Players has brought live theatre, education and community connection to Montgomery County. The company’s current leadership combines longtime Players veterans with professionals who bring expertise in law, engineering, banking, nonprofit development, marketing, business and the performing arts.

The Players’ Board is an all-volunteer working board, with members actively involved in committees and the ongoing work of the theatre’s development.

The Board of Directors

• Jean Ciampi, President — An award winning and published playwright, Ciampi has had her works produced and recognized nationally and internationally. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the Kennedy Center Playwrights Intensive, and is a founding member of the T43 Writers Collective based in New York City.

• Kristin Bays, Vice President — Bays serves as Judge of the 284th District Court in Montgomery County and brings 25 years of civil litigation experience to the Board. Her connection to The Players began as an actor and has grown into a commitment to helping lead the organization into the future.

• Jennifer Clevenger, Secretary — A Woodlands native and Texas A&M graduate, Clevenger is a Mission Operations Planning Engineer with NASA, where she works on major spaceflight programs. She has been involved with The Players both onstage and backstage since 2021.

• Kim Miller, Treasurer — Miller brings more than two decades of banking experience to the Board and currently serves as a Vice President/Banking Center Manager with Texas First Bank. Her extensive financial and community involvement makes her a natural fit for the theatre’s financial leadership.

• Bonnie Atkinson, Member — Atkinson is a nonprofit professional with extensive experience in fundraising, community partnerships, marketing and special events. Her work with Angel Reach and other community organizations complements her passion for building support for The Players.

• Terry Lynn Hale, Member — A member of The Players since 1988, Hale has acted, directed, stage managed and worked crew on countless productions and has served as Board President twice. She currently serves as the company’s Season Ticket Chair.

• Ari Kogut, Member — Kogut has been active in community theatre for many years, not just in the Conroe area, but with youth theatre organizations at the national level as well. A retired geologist, he has contributed to The Players as an actor, set designer and volunteer.

• Belinda Land, Member — Land brings strong organizational and operational experience from her professional career and creates the always welcoming and inspired audience experience that begins in the theatre’s lobby for every show.

• Kimberly Nadasky, Member — Nadasky brings more than 30 years of marketing and business-development experience to the Board, including leadership roles with major corporate and retail clients. She is also an entrepreneur and active member of the local business community.

• Jonathon Duttweiler, Member — Duttweiler discovered The Players through performing and has since appeared in numerous productions while becoming an active volunteer and Board member. As Activity Director at Carriage Inn Conroe, he is particularly passionate about connecting people of all ages with the performing arts.

The Management Team

In response to consistent growth over the past few years, the organization has expanded their management staff, creating a well-balanced team that combines history, innovations, and creativity.

• Cindy Siple, Managing Director – Siple has worked professionally with regional and

• touring theatre companies as an artist, director, choreographer, company manager, business manager, administrator, and educator. A Players’ member for over 25 years, she also brings more than 30 years as an educator to her role with the company.

• Casey Burden, Artistic Director — Having worked professionally in New York City and Boston, Burden focuses in fostering creativity and collaboration by encouraging bold ideas, diverse perspectives, and a shared passion for bringing stories to life.

• Roger Ormiston, Technical Director — Ormiston has been part of The Players since 1981 and has extensive experience both onstage and behind the scenes. As Technical Director, he oversees the technical and production elements that help bring each show to life.

Celebrating 60 Years — and Looking Ahead

The 60th Anniversary Season, “Legacy & Revelations,” celebrates the people and productions that have shaped The Players while looking toward the future of community theatre in Montgomery County. The Players Theatre Company invites longtime patrons and new audiences alike to join the celebration and become part of the next chapter in the organization’s history.
