Romeo and Juliet premiers in another time and place at the Owen Theatre

CONROE, Texas - Shakespeare's classic drama of Romeo and Juliet takes to the stage at the Owen Theatre this Friday, March 18, and the two lovers will re-enact their tragic love story through April 3.
Celebrating their 50th season, the production will be performed by the Players Theatre Company funded in part by the Conroe Commission on Arts and Culture.
Director Brandi Baldwin brings all the emotions of hatred, prejudice, and blind passion to light in the context of an epic era...the Civil War, a period Americans can more easily identify with, as the Union and the Confederates battle in the war between the states.
Don’t miss this 400-year old classic fast-forwarded to the most turbulent period in American history, which gives credence to the adage that history repeats itself.
To be or not to be in the audience will depend on whether or not you purchase a ticket for this timeless classic. Don’t let the Players Theatre Company ask ““Wherefore art thou?”
