Caney Creek's Miller signs college offer

CONROE, Texas - Mikayla Miller, a 6-foot-1 junior middle blocker from the Caney Creek High School Lady Panthers volleyball team has committed to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.

The starting middle blocker on the Woodlands WAVE 17UA team will play in 2013 for the Colonels of the Southland Conference.

Miller wanted to stay somewhat close to home, according to a statement on the WAVE website, and fell in love with Nicholls' campus and coaching staff after her visit after Junior Nationals.

“It felt like home to me,” Miller said.
