MAGNOLIA, Texas—If you haven’t satisfied your appetite for the 2012 Olympics, then visit the Double P Bakery in Magnolia and sample their gold medal cookies.

Themed confections and logo pastries set bakery apart

Open just a year and a half, the bakery is renown for their themed bakery desserts and corporate logo confections.

“We bake up something unique for every holiday on the calendar and special events, like our Olympic cookies that include a red, white, and blue ribbon,” said Patrice Stutes, the owner of the Double P Bakery.

Not unlike any full-scale bakery that offers wedding cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies, Stutes added, “Our baked goods have an added ingredient…love. Many of our recipes were my grandmother’s original recipes.” Stutes said she developed her love a baking by spending quality time in the kitchen with her beloved grandmother.

She now spends countless baking hours with her business partner, Patrick Stamps, thus the name Double P Bakery. Although their core business is supplying restaurants with desserts, and corporate logo cakes and cookies, they especially enjoy conjuring up creative confections for holidays.

“For Halloween we’ll be baking glow-in-the-dark cookies, and for Christmas we’ll make our Double Fudge Cake Balls with edible glitter,” Stutes said.

The Double P Bakery is at 6531 FM 1488 in Magnolia, but conveniently located close to The Woodlands and Conroe. To view the delectable desserts visit the Double P Bakery website.
