Montgomery County Performing Arts Society's 2013 Mardi Gras Ball Feb 9

CONROE, Texas – The art of fundraising isn’t always spelled out in black and white, but it is when the Montgomery County Performing Arts Society plans a gala. This year’s fifth annual Mardi Gras Ball will have a black and white theme; dress is formal attire.
The event will take place Saturday, February 9, from 6 pm to midnight, at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, A cocktail hour from 6-7 p.m., will kick off the evening’s festivities, followed by dinner, the presentation of the Margi Gras King, Dwain Riney, and then the crowing of the queen and the presentation of the Court.
Dancing will commence with entertainment provided by the “Johnny Nicholas Band,” formerly of the award-winning group, “Asleep at the Wheel.”
The ‘Black and White Mardi Gras Ball’ enables the Performing Arts Society to support such projects like performances at the historic Crighton Theatre, the Missoula Children’s Theatre, and the 29th Annual Young Texas Artists Finalists Concert and Awards.
Call, email or visit the website for ticket information. Through sponsorships and/or attendance, be a part of this colorful event, even though it’s a black and white affair.
