Habitat for Humanity in need of a building crew for Feb 23

CONROE, Texas – Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County is looking for an energetic team to help with their current project in Habitat's Cedar Creek neighborhood on February 23. The official start of the project took place on January 12, when the walls were raised, and work on the house has been ongoing. An unexpected turn of events has left them without a team to work on the house the weekend of the 23rd
“Over the duration of the project, which will take place from January 12 to May 11, there will be between 300 and 500 volunteers working on the home,” said McGregor. “They’ll be working three Saturdays in January, and at least two Saturdays a month thereafter, and including some weekdays. But we’re in desperate need a corporate team or humanitarian organization to fill in just this one weekend.”
Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County is a volunteer-based chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat’s mission is to eliminate poverty by building decent, affordable homes in partnership with hardworking local families in need.
