Spend the Summer With the Woodlands Children's Museum

When the temperatures start to rise outside, The Woodlands Children’s Museum offers a cool sanctuary for those trying to beat the heat and have some summer-time fun.
The Museum Offers “Cool” Refuge
Here are a few reasons families should spend time this summer at The Woodlands Children’s Museum:
1. The prices are hard to beat. Daily admission is $5 per person. Children under 2 are free. Those in active service and their immediate families are always admitted free to The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Memberships at the museum offer an even better value. For a family membership of $67, two adults and up to four family members per visit, may visit as often as they like for a year of free admission. Grandparents get the same deal for only $57. Additional members of a family are $10 each. The museum also offers ACM Reciprocal memberships for $125, which grants free admission for up to six family members and reciprocal admission at ACM member museums nationwide.
2. The museum is right in the neighborhood. Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280 in The Woodlands, the museum is centrally located for many families on the north side of Houston. With rising gas prices and all the traffic on the freeway, staying close to home means making the most of precious vacation time. The museum is also a quick drive for residents of Kingwood, Humble, Spring, Conroe, Willis and Magnolia.
3. Educational activities abound. Summertime can often mean that children’s minds are less engaged than they are during the stimulating school year. The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s interactive exhibits are designed to spark young minds.
4. The calendar is packed with activities and programs. Almost every day, the museum has a special activity planned, and the cost is usually included in the price of admission. There are magicians, puppet shows, story times and crazy critters on the schedule. The museum also has a variety of summer programs for ages 4 to 10 – each offering hands-on activities that foster creative thinking. For a list of courses and the costs to attend the summer programs, visit www.woodlandschildrensmuseum.org and download a brochure.
5. It’s just plain fun. Children learn the most when they are enjoying an educational activity. The Woodlands Children’s Museum is a fun environment, full of options for playtime. The museum is an indoor playground – that builds minds and encourages creativity.
“We’re gearing up for another exciting summer,” executive director Angela Colton said. “We hope the community joins us during the break from school and sees all that the museum has to offer.”
