CONROE, Texas – Change has come to Conroe High School.

At least in the varsity boys’ athletics department it has. Conroe starts the 2013-14 school year with a new head football coach in Robert Walker, a new head basketball coach in John Oliverio, and a new head baseball coach in Jeff Raymer.

Walker comes to Conroe after spending the last seven seasons at San Antonio East Central High School where he led the Hornets to six playoff appearances. He went 8-4 over his last two seasons there and compiled a 43-36 record as head coach of the Hornets.

Oliverio was an assistant basketball coach at Spring Westfield High School and Raymer was an assistant baseball coach at Pasadena Dobie High School.

In addition, Jacqueline Dixon is the new softball coach and Charvette Brown is the new volleyball coach.

Brown takes over the Tigerettes program after quickly turning around the Westfield program. She is also the co-club director at Texas Select Volleyball Club in The Woodlands and has 10 years experience in the coaching profession.
