Six non-profit organizations to participate in community fundraising project.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- In the spirit of giving, Woodlands Online, Conroe Today, and their other affiliate websites are pleased to give back this holiday season by helping those in the community who are the most in need, with their first annual 'Giving Tree Farm.'
Instead of a single ‘giving tree,’ a tree farm will be erected Monday, December 2. Six community non-profit organizations will decorate a tree at the Woodlands Online office located at 33300 Egypt Lane at the west end of Research Forest Drive. The trees will be decorated with ornaments specifying essential items requested by the non-profit organizations. The public is invited to come and select ornaments off one or more of the trees, to help someone in need have a happy holiday season.
The non-profit agencies participating in the ‘Giving Tree Farm’ are: Cypress Cares - The Woodlands, Montgomery County Emergency Assistance, Montgomery County Women’s Center, Operation Pets Alive, Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch, and Stonebridge Food Pantry. This diverse group of non-profit organizations represents a broad cross-section of the county, all of which need the support of the community in order to fulfill their mission. For more information about each of these non-profits and items requested visit Giving Tree Farm.
Residents are invited to drop by the ‘Giving Tree Farm’ starting December 3 through December 20, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to select ornaments, then return them attached to the unwrapped gifts. Participants can also cast a vote for the best decorated tree. The winner will receive an additional donation from Woodlands Online.
In the spirit of giving, Woodlands Online cordially invites the community to drop by our new location and partake in our first ‘Giving Tree Farm’ fundraiser project. Along with the participating non-profit organizations, we thank you for your generosity and we wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and a very Merry Christmas.
