MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The First Annual "Giving Tree Farm" for county nonprofit organizations, was a success thanks to a generous community. All six nonprofit agencies received donations to help their cause.

Residents dropped by with bags full of gifts and essential items to put under each tree, despite unsavory weather conditions. Even Lily, the Pit Bull Ambassador & Therapy Dog, came by dressed in a Santa costume, to deliver toys for children in need.

The nonprofits who participated in this year's "Giving Tree Farm" were: Cypress Cares - The Woodlands to benefit actively-serving military troops, Montgomery County Emergency Assistance for families in crisis, Montgomery County Women’s Center for abused women and their children, Operation Pets Alive which is a no-kill agency for homeless animals , Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch which provides equine therapy for children with physical and emotional needs, and Stonebridge Food Pantry. This diverse group of nonprofit organizations represents a broad cross-section of the county, all of which need the continuous support of the community in order to fulfill their mission.

Join us next year for another "Giving Tree Farm" representing a whole new lineup of to benefit county nonprofits who provide essential needs for the community.

Thank you for your generous donations, and from our family to yours, have a happy holiday season.
