Cut-N-Shoot Charities awards grant to Montgomery County Emergency Assistance

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Montgomery County Emergency Assistance (MCEA) is proud to announce that they are the recipients of a grant from the Cut-N-Shoot Charities sponsored by Texan Harley Davidson and David Moore.

MCEA was presented a check at the CNS Charity Reception in Willis, on May 10. The funds will help families throughout the county with rent, food, clothing, utilities, and prescriptions. The organization's two new initiatives include a 'Hands Up' program to move people into self-sufficiency, and a program to assist victims of fire disasters.

Montgomery County Emergency Assistance is a nonprofit agency that has been in service to the community since 1981 offering real life solutions to our Montgomery County neighbors facing a temporary financial crisis. MCEA offers assistance for rent, utilities, food, clothing, and other basic needs. MCEA focuses on building stronger client relationships, assisting families in establishing attainable goals, assessing community resources and gaining skills to help clients become successful. MCEA is a funded partner of Montgomery County United Way.>
