Ambler Backs Bush for CISD School Board

To the Editor:

I am pleased that Melanie Bush is running for the CISD School Board Position #1.

Melanie and I have worked closely together on numerous committees over the past five years. I nominated her to follow me as President of the Executive Women’s Alliance, an organization that mentors young women through the Women of Vision program at Conroe High School and encourages fellowship among female business leaders. Melanie is passionate about education for all students. Through the Women of Vision program, she met regularly with a group of 50 girls for four years, challenging and inspiring them to succeed in school and pursue a college education. The girls adored Melanie and strived to please her.

In our work together, Melanie has always delivered on her promises and, whenever she set a goal, she exceeded it. Her knowledge of business and accounting, combined with her compassion for others, enabled Melanie to successfully lead and advance the mission of the Executive Women’s Alliance. Melanie is always humble, willing to listen to and learn from the opinions of others. At the same time, she is not afraid to make tough decisions and implement changes when necessary.

Melanie Bush is a vocal advocate for locally-run education, quality academic standards and fiscal responsibility. With intelligence, thoughtfulness and graciousness, she will work hard to serve the students of CISD.
