Bush Will Represent All of CISD
Dear Editor,
Melanie Bush may not live in Conroe, but she sure has a heart for our town – in fact, for the entire Conroe Independent School District. That’s why Melanie Bush has my vote for CISD School Board Position 1.
For the past four years, Melanie has volunteered to lead a group of professional women who mentor girls at Conroe High School. These are girls who don’t have a support network. The people closest to them often say that they won’t graduate high school and that college isn’t possible. But Melanie and her team encouraged these girls from freshman to senior year and gave them college scholarships at graduation. Melanie’s two daughters go to school outside the Conroe High feeder zone, but she still spent hours upon hours volunteering here. It is her heart.
Mayor Webb Melder saw what Melanie’s team did for Conroe. Shoot, he even declared January 23, 2014 to be Executive Women’s Alliance Day – after the group that Melanie led. The Courier did an article on her group back in February.
Other strong community leaders in Conroe endorse Melanie Bush for the Conroe ISD School Board. Sherriff Tommy Gage, Mike Meador, Charlie Riley, Chad Patterson, Debbie Buckalew Campbell, Lindsey Witt, JJ and Amy Hollie and many others all back Melanie. Don’t forget Barbara Cargill and the Texas State Teachers Association – Conroe. Stand with us, and vote Melanie Bush for CISD School Board Position 1.
Sincerely,
Karen Stinson
