Sensory Friendly Day at The Woodlands Children’s Museum is an exclusive free event for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families Monday, September 21.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is hosting an event exclusively for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory processing differences.

Sensory Friendly Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21. The cost of admission has been waived for this special event that welcomes children with autism and their families.

Young guests will enjoy sensory exploration through exhibits and hands-on activities, as well as social and imaginary play, art projects and a special “cool down classroom.”

Families are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the outdoor tables near the entrance to the museum. Goodie bags and take-home activities also will be provided for each child.

“This is a great opportunity for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory processing differences to have fun in a comfortable and accepting space while participating in interactive learning activities,” said Angela Colton, executive director of the museum.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum, located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, has a full calendar of exciting activities.

Daily Admission is $5 per person 2 years and older. There is no charge for children under 2. Recommended for ages 7 and under.
