UPDATE:

Fatal victim identified in Wednesday morning Conroe freeway accident

CONROE, Texas - The fatality on I-45N in Conroe Wednesday morning has been identified as 25-year old, Georgina Dunham, an employee of Conroe Independent School District Transportation. Dunham’s vehicle was struck as she tried to navigate her car across multiple lanes to check on a vehicle disabled in a one-car accident.

The impact spun her car around and into a concrete barrier. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital after being transported by ambulance.

Apparently Dunham had phoned in the first accident and mentioned that she was going to check on the driver. Her heroic act as a Good Samaritan ended in tragedy.
