Recycle car seats at local Target April 17 - May 7

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - In celebration of Earth Month, 36 Target stores across Texas are hosting a car seat collection program to help residents reduce household clutter without sending waste to landfill. Between April 17 and May 7, area residents can recycle used car seats by taking them to participating Target stores. All car seats collected through this program will be recycled through TerraCycle so that each component will see a second life.

After the collection program ends, TerraCycle will separate the different components of the car seats (cloth elements, plastics, metals, etc.) and process them for use in other products.

Conroe residents can take their car seats to the Target store at 503 I-45 North, south of Hwy 105, and look for Target’s car seat collection box in the baby/kids floor pad section. Consumers will receive a coupon for 20% off the purchase of a new car seat, when turning in a used one.
