CONROE, Texas -- Drees Custom Homes not only opened a new model home in Conroe’s Grand Central Park this year, it opened the hearts of Realtors, who donated more than $1,300 to the Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas and the Conroe Animal Shelter during a VIP event.

“Grand Central Park is the first Conroe community for Drees Custom Homes, and we wanted to make an impact in the local area,” said Christian Sommer, president of the builder’s Houston Division. “Our focus is helping people find their perfect home, so helping pets find a home is a natural extension.”

The Conroe Animal Shelter had several animals on hand during the event for snuggling and photos ops. One pet was lucky enough to go home with a guest.

Drees opened its Kentshire floor plan as its model home in Grand Central Park, located along Interstate 45 and Loop 336 South. The model showcases three bedrooms and three baths, cedar-wrapped beams in the family room, a wine bar, a gourmet kitchen with large working pantry and an outdoor kitchen with fireplace.

Drees offers nine designs priced from the $400,000s in Grand Central Park. Sizes range from 2,637 to 3,758 square feet. Several homes have sold and several others are ready for immediate occupancy.

Drees Custom Homes builds in eight Houston area neighborhoods, with prices from the $260,000s to nearly $1 million. The nation’s 10th largest privately-owned homebuilder, Drees Custom Homes is under the stewardship of a third generation of the Drees family. Learn more at www.dreeshomes.com.
