Austin, Texas – April 18, 2019 – Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is set to open its first Conroe, Texas location on May 1. Marking its 52nd location in the Lone Star State, the restaurant will serve Damn Good tacos in the 336 Marketplace development at 351 S. Loop 336 West. Taco junkies can get their fix of Torchy’s award-winning menu featuring unique tacos, coveted queso and full bar menu with made-to-order margaritas.

Grand opening party will celebrate restaurant’s 52nd location in Texas

“Since its launch in 2006, Torchy’s has grown from a local favorite to having over 60 locations throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado,” said G.J. Hart, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos. “We’re beyond excited to bring our Damn Good tacos to the Conroe community.”

Guests can dine-in and enjoy fan favorites like the Baja Shrimp taco, the Crossroads taco and Green Chile Queso, as well as Torchy’s famed Taco of the Month. May’s Taco of the Month is the Tokyo Drifter, which includes fried wonton strips, teriyaki glazed pulled pork with sweet and sour veggie slaw, sesame siracha mayo, cilantro and a lime wedge on a flour tortilla. The restaurant will also feature both a separate pick-up counter and a drive-thru lane for orders placed ahead.

To celebrate the new location, Torchy’s will host a grand opening party on Tuesday, April 30, from 5–8 p.m. The Conroe community is invited to join and enjoy free tacos, drinks and live entertainment, including a DJ and face painting and photo booth stations. In addition, free taco money will be up for grabs for one lucky raffle winner who visits the new location when it opens for business on Wednesday, May 1.

Torchy’s is passionate about giving back to the communities where it does business. Each month, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Taco of the Month are donated to Torchy’s charitable partners, which include MD Anderson Cancer Center, Make-A-Wish and Phoenix House, among others.

Torchy’s Tacos has plans to open two more locations in the greater Houston area, including West University Place and The Woodlands Mall. Both locations are set to open in late summer 2019.
