City of Conroe waives all permits and fees for emergency plumbing repairs
CONROE, TX -- Permits and fees for emergency plumbing repairs are being waived for the next two weeks following the winter weather emergency this week.
City Administrator Paul Virgadamo said Friday morning, "The Mayor, Council and city staff agree that waiving the permit process and fees for emergency plumbing repairs for the next two weeks is the best way to get water and repairs made as quickly as possible and citizens back in their homes."
The City of Conroe Public Works department has been working round the clock assessing and shutting off leaks throughout the city. The immense number of private water leaks in homes and businesses caused water pressures to drop early in the week. Although the pressure has improved, leaks may continue to pop up as the pipes begin to thaw.
Public Works is urging citizens to contact them at 936-522-3885 immediately if they see any leaks around the city.
