WILLIS, TX -- On December 17, 2021, the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office along with our community partners responded to a threat at Willis High School. The threat was made on social media and due to the serious nature of the threat, several urgent requests for information were made to internet providers. This process revealed a telephone phone number linked to a student at Willis High School. Investigators contacted the parents and the device was surrendered to our office.

The suspected device was taken to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force for forensic analysis.

Constable Cash wishes to thank all of our area partners (Willis ISD, the Texas Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department) for their response and assistance with this situation.

Constable Cash and Superintendent Dr. Harkrider urge parents to hold discussions with their children and explain the serious, long-term consequences of these actions.

This investigation is ongoing and may result in charges being filed. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office (936) 539-7821 or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867).
