Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Multiple Suspects on Narcotics and Prostitution Charges

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX -- A woman and two men have been arrested on multiple charges by Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives.

On October 13, 2022, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 7400 block of Monarch Forest Lane in Booth, Texas after receiving a report of an adult female being threatened with a gun. The female victim was removed from the home by Sheriff’s deputies. The Fort Bend County Regional SWAT Team was called to the scene as a precaution during this process.

Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested Shanice Nicole Miller, 29, who is charged with Possession of Marijuana (a third degree felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (a state jail felony), Failure to Identify (a class B misdemeanor), and Promotion of Prostitution (a third degree felony). Miller remains in custody at the Fort Bend County Jail and her bail has been set at $50,000 and $500 for the Promotion of Prostitution and Failure to Identify charges, respectively. Bail has not yet been set for the narcotics-related charges.

Vernon Lawrence Green, 35, and Shawn Russell Parker, 31, have been charged with felony Possession of Marijuana. Bail for Green and Parker is pending. Parker was also charged for Failure to Identify as a Fugitive, which is a class A misdemeanor. His bail for this charge has been set at $750.

The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Unit and the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office to determine the events that led to the alleged aggravated assault. The active Human Trafficking investigation will continue to identify other suspects and victims who may be involved.

Human Trafficking involves the use of force, coercion, or fraud to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.

“I applaud the quick work of our deputies and Human Trafficking investigators,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan.
