Who Killed Michael Ellis?

HOUSTON, TX -- Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.

Reward of up to $5,000 leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in this case.

On Monday, August 21, 2023, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Michael Ellis was struck by a vehicle in the 3100 block of South Loop West in Houston, Texas. Mr. Ellis was asleep on the sidewalk when a truck traveling southbound hit him. The unknow suspect(s) sped away from the scene without rendering aid to Mr. Ellis. Sadly, Mr. Ellis suffered major injuries, and died as a result of the collision.

The only description of the suspect vehicle is an older model dark colored pick up truck.
