Football: Caney Creek offense highlighted on All-District 18-4A Team

CONROE, Texas – Offense was the name of the game for the Caney Creek High School football team this season. Eight players were recently named to the All-District 18-4A First and Second Team Offense while three more were named to the Second Team Defense.
Caney Creek Panthers sophomore Chris Coffer earned Co-Newcomer of the Year honors. Coffer rushed for 500 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 7 yards per carry.
Panthers tight end John Lamb was a unanimous First Team selection. He is joined on the First Team by senior center Chad Burrell and junior fullback Jeremy Collins.
Caney Creek didn’t get a First Team nod on defense but sophomores Colin Sells (DE) and Austin McKeon (LB) earned Second Team honors.
Seniors Kadon Simmons (QB), Kyle Baird (WR), Joseph Staggs (OL), and Justin Wilkinson (OL) made the District 18-4A Second Team Offense.
Willis seniors John Osborn (OL) and Dillon Bauer (WR) earned First Team recognition while senior quarterback Lofton Bean and junior wide receiver Dalton Jackson made the Second Team Offense.
Willis Wildkats juniors Dayon Goodwin (DE) and Morece Johnson (CB) were named to the District 18-4A Second Team Defense.
