Gregory Freede named member of MCYS Board of Directors

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS) is pleased to announce that Gregory Freede, retired sales executive, has been named a member of the MCYS Board of Directors.

“We are so honored to have Greg Freede serve on our board,” commented John Bracken, Executive Director at MCYS. “He has served as The Woodlands Celebrity Golf Classic Tournament Director since 2000. MCYS is fortunate that Greg has agreed to serve on the board of directors as well as keeping his role as tournament director.”

Freede retired in 2015 as a sales executive from Glaxo SmithKline after 29 years with the company. In addition to serving as the tournament director for The Woodlands Celebrity Golf Classic for MCYS, Mr. Freede was also honored with the MCYS Volunteer Bridge Builder Award and the Interfaith of The Woodlands 2010 Hometown Hero Award with his wife Linda for their contributions to youth in Montgomery County. Greg, Linda and their son, Brett moved to The Woodlands in 1986.
