"It's not just about the ribbons," said CAL President Al Heilman. "It's about all of us and what we do."

As most artists will attest, the real reward is in the artistic process; you learn by doing, and that in itself is intrinsically rewarding. The Conroe Art League provides classes in all media by acclaimed instructors. They encourage anyone who loves art to pARTicipate.

In addition to the ribbons and awards in each media category, and overall awards, Heilman was presented with the 2016 Montie Award for Visual Arts. for his efforts and leadership promoting the visual arts. (Click on view more photos link.)

In addition to the winners in each category of Group 2, Best of Show, Best Floral and Best Landscape awards will also be announced at the October reception, Saturday, October 8, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The public is invited back to join the Conroe Art League at this reception to meet the artists, see the awards presentation, and share beverages and refreshments. The Madeley Building is located at 127 Simonton, Conroe, Texas (77301), in historic downtown Conroe.

Both the Fall and Spring Judged Shows are the most definitive example of the Conroe Art League because they have the largest participation of their membership base from students to professionals. The Conroe Art League is pleased to provide these two shows to the public for this length of time.
