UPDATE: Winners of the Conroe Art League Spring Art Show and Sale

The Conroe Art League's Spring Art Show and Sale featured 159 pieces from CAL members and local artists. Best in Show was a scratchboard piece by George Ann Johnson titled "My Love."

All the show's winners will be on display in the Madeley Building gallery at 127 Simonton Street, from April 5 thru 30. An artist reception will be hosted by the Conroe Art League April 16, 5 - 8:00 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY:

CONROE, Texas - The Conroe Art League is springing into action with their annual Spring Art Show and Sale, Saturday, March 5, from 2 to 4:00 p.m., hosted once again by 1st Baptist Church of Conroe located at 600 N. Main Street in Conroe (77301).

More than 130 artworks from area artists, all medias, will compete for awards. The winning pieces will be on display at the Conroe Art Gallery in the Madeley Building located at 127 Simonton Street in historic downtown Conroe during the month of April, from April 5 to 30.

Overlapping the spring show will be the CAL "Dust Bowl Motel" themed art exhibit, March 2 - April 5. A reception will be hosted by the Conroe Art League at the Madeley Building Friday, March 18, and Saturday, March 19, from 5 to 8:00 p.m. The audience attending the play will be invited to the gallery to meet the cast and playwright, Scott McCarley, after the Friday and Saturday performances.
